Never think that any request you have is too much for ALLAH.
“His command is, only when He intends a thing that He says to it, ‘Be’. And it is.”
– Surah Yasin (36:82). Al Quran.
If you tell me to describe ‘Rockstar’, I don’t need to write down a whole essay. The movie can be described by just one track ‘Kun faya Kun‘. This track gets inside your soul, it connects you to the Almighty himself. It takes you to a holy world in your imagination for 8 minutes.
“Jab Kahin Pe Kuch Nahi Bhi Nahi Tha,
Wahi Tha, Wahi Tha…
Woh Joh Mujh Mein Saamaya,
Woh Joh Tujh Mein Samaya…
Maula Wahi Wahi Mayaa…
Kun Faya Kun faya Kun
Sadq Allahu Ali Ul Azeem…”
Words work like magic. Give you goosebumps right away. ‘Rockstar‘ was a musical ‘Milestone‘. Bollywood had never seen anything more touchy like this album.
Maybe it’s true that you need to get your heartbroken to become creative. Maybe it helps you to find out how vast your boundaries really are. Maybe it helps you to know your inner self. Maybe not. Maybe it’s true what Joker said, “As you know, madness, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push.” Maybe that little push turned Jonardhan into Jordan.
Maybe it’s not true at all…!
First, they break you into pieces every day. They hurt you, break you, kill you every moment. When you stand up, collect all your broken pieces and make yourself unbreakable, they call you ‘crazy’, ‘monster’, ‘unfit’ for the society. They never confess that they are the ones who created the monster in the first place!
When Mohit Chauhan starts singing, ‘O Nadaan Parindey…!‘ it inserts like a sharp knife through the hearts of the people who live in countries far away from their homes, families. It makes them cry, makes them want to leave everything behind and go back to their loved ones at once.
“Kaaga Re Kaaga Re Mori Itni Araj Tose
Chun Chun Khaaiyo Maans,
Arajiya Re Rakhiyo Na Tu Naina More,
Khaaiyon Na Tu Naina Mohe-
Piya Ki Milaan Ki Aas..!”
It made me cry during my abroad days every time I listened to it. Every single time!
‘Jordan’ is basically ‘You’. The ‘You’ who discovered how to deal with struggles and sadness. The one who knows how to raise above hell. Jordan sang for you, for your soul. He represented you.
‘Tum Ho‘, ‘Jo Bhi Main‘, ‘Sadda Haq‘, ‘Phir Se Udd Chaala‘ – these are some golds which will remain the same after 100 years with their depth and meanings.
Stand up, know how to survive, show the middle finger to this fake world. Be yourself, be true.
